Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Gold Zero Torch 500 flashlight and USB power bank. Now this is a nice multipurpose light. It can be used as either a spotlight or a flood light, and you can use either in a high, medium and low settings for either one. The spotlight, which is on the end here, they have the buttons right here which will control the spotlight and over here is the floodlight. So if we push the spotlight button you can see there's your high, push it again, there's your medium.
Push it again, there's your low, one more time and it's off. And the floodlight, which will be on the bottom here if we push this, that's your high, medium, and low settings and then off. This light will easily charge using this built-in solar panel, our USB power source. Also charges with a compatible solar panel like the Gold Zero Nomad 10 which we do sell separately. After you do charge this using the USB right here on this end, you plug it in and it'll take about four hours to charge it.
If you use the built-in solar up here, it's about 23 to 46 hours. So this light is perfect for emergency lighting or any outdoor adventure. The battery is an integrated battery. It'll let you charge small devices like smartphones, tablets, and headlamps. It does come with this nice cable here which is a USBC to USBA cable.
And again on these connections or plugs back here the top one is a USBC input, the bottom is a USBA output. It is a nice tough waterproof construction, stands up to the elements. On both ends we will have these metal hangers that you can pop up and just like that. And you can see you can just hang it wherever you want using the hangers. And the same on this end, I got the hangers on both ends.
When you're not using them, just clip them into place. A few specs on this, the ports again right here, it's gonna be a USBA output on the bottom, five volts up to 2.1 amps. On the very top is a USBC input, five volts up to one amp. The battery, the integrated battery is a lithium ion NMC battery, cell capacity is 18.7 watt hours, 5,200 milliamp hours. The shelf life charges about every three to six months. The light will go up to for in the high setting about 500 lumens. And the run time, let me show you again. We're gonna go ahead and let's do the spotlight. We'll do it at each power. So we'll go ahead and push the spotlight, turn off the overhead lights and there you can see that's in the high. That's gonna get you a run time of about 3.5 hours. And then if we go into the medium power is 7.5 hours. And then if we hit the low power's about 50 hours. Now if we do the flood light, which is gonna be that one there, the high power is three hours. If we do the medium power is seven hours and the low power's about 50 hours. That's the run time in all those positions. And again, I'm just gonna zoom out so you'll be able to see the flood light. I'm gonna turn that off and I'll go ahead and put the spotlight back on. Get an idea of very bright spotlight and turn back on our overhead lights. Weight on this is only about 12.8 ounces. The dimensions, we measure the overall length one end to the other is right at eight and three quarter inches long. The width on it is right at two and a quarter inches wide. And the overall height is about one and a half inches tall. But that should do it for the review on this Gold Zero Torch 500 flashlight and USB power bank.
